Endangered Species 2012

On 19 April 2012, the United Nations Postal Administration (UNPA) will issue a set of 12 stamps depicting endangered species. These will be the twentieth set of stamps in UNPA's multi-year series Endangered Species. The series was launched on 3 March 1993 to highlight the need for the protection of endangered species throughout the world. For the twentieth anniversary of the Endangered Species stamp issue, UNPA is including three universally recognized and loved animals from previous years-the Giant Panda, the Siberian Tiger and the Snow Leopard.

Autism Awareness

The United Nations Postal Administration (UNPA) will issue stamps and first day covers on 2 April 2012 in recognition of World Autism Day. The stamps, and the artists who designed them, will together raise awareness about this important global cause.

Coin and Flag Series 2012

On 3 February 2012, the United Nations Postal Administration (UNPA) will continue its Coin and Flag series by releasing 24 new stamps in the denominations of US$ 0.45, CHF 0.85 and Euro 0.70. Three mini-sheets of eight stamps each will be released.

Chinese Lunar Calendar

On 23 January 2012, UNPA will issue a Chinese lunar calendar personalized stamp sheet celebrating the "Year of the Dragon". This is the third year that UNPA has issued a Chinese lunar calendar sheet. The sheet is composed of ten US$ 1.05 denominated stamps with the UN logo. The tab of the stamps features a zodiac symbol of a dragon. The background design on the sheet features the dragon illustrated by Mr. Huang Li (China).

International Year of Forests

On 13 October 2011, the United Nations Postal Administration will issue three mini-sheets of eight stamps to commemorate the International Year of Forests.

2011 Annual Collection Folders

The New York, Geneva and Vienna annual collection folders of single stamps and souvenir sheets issued in 2011 will be released on 13 October 2011. The albums are printed in full colour, and they provide background information on each issue in English, French and German.

30 Years of a World Living with AIDS

On 3 June 2011, the United Nations Postal Administration (UNPA) will issue three self-adhesive stamps in a ribbon die-cut shape in mini-sheets of four stamps in the denominations of US$ 0.44, CHF 1.30 and Euro 0.70 as well as a Souvenir Card to recognize 30 years of a world living with AIDS. This is the first time ever that UNPA has issued self-adhesive stamps.

World Heritage - Nordic Countries

On 5 May 2011, the United Nations Postal Administration (UNPA) will issue a set of six commemorative stamps in denominations of US$ 0.44, US$ 0.98,CHF 0.85, CHF 1.00, Euro 0.62 and Euro 0.70 on the theme "World Heritage - Nordic Countries" which includes five Nordic countries plus the Struve Geodetic Arc.
